Why donate to Wycombe Women’s Aid?
- At least 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence at some point during their lifetime. One of your friends, family members, work colleagues or other acquaintances will currently be experiencing domestic violence or will have experienced it in the past.
- A 2002 report by the Department of Health stated that at least 750,000 children a year witness domestic violence. In nearly all cases of domestic violence, children are in the same or next room.
If you feel passionate about our work, please consider supporting us in our fight to end violence against women and children.
Who will benefit from your support?
All donations we receive directly benefit the women and children we are currently working with. In 2016/17 we directly supported over 850 women and over 130 children and young people. We are able to use donations to further enhance the core support we provide to women and children, for example:
- By purchasing supplies to establish a new art and craft group for women living in the refuge
- By hosting a community celebration for International Women’s Day
- By providing outings during school holidays for women and children
- By purchasing emergency supplies for families who arrive at the refuge with nothing
Our services enable women and children to live free from fear and to build safe and healthy lives. Your contribution will help to change lives.
We send a written acknowledgement to all of our supporters.

easyfundraising.org.uk helps charities and other good causes to raise money when their supporters shop online. So far they have raised over £4 million for causes throughout the UK.
It works in a similar way to many other loyalty shopping sites, but instead of earning points when you shop, you raise a donation for your cause instead. You can shop with over 2,000 well known stores and each will donate up to 15% of what you spend.
It does not cost you any more to shop – you simply buy those things that you were going to buy online anyway, but make the purchase after logging into your account with Easy Fundraising. This will generate donations from the retailers into the Wycombe Women’s Aid account that we hold with them.
- Login online – join easyfundraising and select Wycombe Women’s Aid
- Start shopping – follow links to over 2000 retailers and shop as normal
- Generate donations – online purchases earn an automatic donation to Wycombe Women’s Aid
Or, if you have already registered with Easy Fundraising, click on the icon below to go directly to our account.
It doesn’t cost you a penny more!
Wycombe Women’s Aid also welcomes donations of goods and services. Many of the families we work with are on a low income and have greatly benefited from the kindness and generosity of individuals and groups donating items such as:
- good quality second hand clothes
- good quality second hand toys
- new toiletries
- towels (new or good quality second hand)
- school uniform
At Christmas time we welcome donations of new toys (for children of all ages) and gifts for women so that each family we work with receives a sack of wrapped presents. Christmas can be a very difficult time for families who are in refuge and our aim is to make it as special as possible for them.
We accept non-financial donations based on the current needs of the women and children we are working with, as well as the storage space we have available, so please contact us if you are interested in making a donation.
SEPTEMBER 2017 – We are currently in need of nappies (all sizes) within the refuge. If this is something that you are able to donate to us, we would love to hear from you. Thank you.
Wycombe Women’s Aid would also like to acknowledge the funding received from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, which was granted specifically for the provision of counselling.
Vote of thanks
Wycombe Women’s Aid would like to thank the individuals, companies, statutory and voluntary bodies who believe in the work we do and have supported us in so many different ways. Your support and commitment have been invaluable and there are many we would like to thank, not only for their financial support, but also their understanding of and commitment to the plight of women and children we work with.
