A new LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) website has been launched for Buckinghamshire residents!
Faye Blunstone, the Community Safety Coordinator at Bucks County Council, shared the following:
“www.lgbtbucks.org aims to inform LGBT residents about services in and around Buckinghamshire. It includes national and local information, as well as practical tips and advice. The LGBT Domestic Abuse Task and Finish Group wanted something new for the LGBT community in Buckinghamshire that could promote services in order to support and serve LGBT needs appropriately. The website contains advice for victims of domestic abuse but not only that. There are also webpages on social and sport, sexual health, “coming out”, community safety, fostering and adoption, civil weddings/civil partnerships and Transgender. The website also has a blog section that LGBT residents can submit posts to. Overall it is something the partnership are very proud of and hope that LGBT residents in Buckinghamshire visit it.”
